i will be adding a few at a time like your suppost to do!
replies would be appreeciated!
i would like a community tank.
also how do you keep viewing this post as after the page is filled it is gone forever!

Hi,

Very similar setup to me. I went for White Clouds because they are also considered rather hardy (and I have found it to be true). They are also colourful, active (not as much as the ZDs though) and remain quite small.

My other close considerations were neon or cardinal tetras or harlequin rasboras.

I did also put 4 Otos in the tank, but I lost them all :( So I'm still thinking about some sort of algae eater to replace them with.

that's a 15 gal, I like harlequins they shoal most of the time, as with neon tetra and black neons don't shoal much once they feel safe.

Also yes some bottom feeders I have 2 pit bull plec hard working guys.

If your tank is cycled properly (EDIT: how long has it been running, how was it cycled? read the pinned posts on cycling), I would add something for the mid or bottom of the tank next. Cories for the bottom 4-5 or 2 honey gourami for the middle layer. Just one of those choices for now to let the filter keep up.

It's not gone forever - it's just on page 2. When this page fills, page 2 will automatically start - you'll be able to see the number of pages at the very top of the thread.

Because your tank is new and not very mature yet - I'd go for 2-3 small, hardy livebearers like platies or possibly guppies. I would reccomend you go for males only as any females will result in fry :) and right now you don't want to be over-crowded by baby fish... Then I reccomend 4 or so cories for the bottom layers and a bulldog plec (as mentioned) for algae.

morning!

just been following this thread.

am looking for some bottom feeders for my tank myself (30 gallon). have been told the common plecs will grow too big because i want a community of about 30 - 35 and the plec will reduce the amount of fish i can keep.

what size do the pit bull plecs reach?

TBR

2 and half inches. I will leave you a link look under p.
