Ok my newer fishy blizz used to just spit out the betta bites but today he tried to swallow one. yes he did his little chewing thing but he started singking and then rested on a leaf... i gave him a blood worm and that seemed i guess once he got a bit of air to perk him up again but what should i do if this happens again with a diff type of food?

:D well one thing u should do is not feed him bettas bites. i feed mione betta bites but i keep them on worms too, dry foods mess up their insidees and the ash content isn't good for digestion. keep him on a softer diet for now. is he a younger fishy or is he a year or so old?

I believe it's only freeze dried foods that are hard for the little guys. As far as I know, hiroki bites are great for bettas. (althought frozen/live foods are great too! )

Hmm, I've never had a problem like that... maybe it was just a freak accident?
