Chocolate Pleco

Before I started researching the fish I purchase, I bought a Chocolate pleco. Can anyone give me some information on this fish? I have had it for five years in a 35 US gallon talk and its about 5 inches long.
How big do they get?

If its an actual 'chocolate plec' AKA Rhino plec it'll be about 12" but if it's what quite a lot of stores call a chocolate plec I think they are a colour variation of a common plec - weighing in at 12"-18" BUT if its 5 years old and only 5" it dosn't sound like either of those options.
