as of next week, i'm going to begin cycling a tank, in which i will breed chcolate gouramis.

I'v been reading as much as i can on their what they require, how they breed, their care, etc, etc. I have received a great deal of help from others, mostly Ryan.

I'm going with a 25 gallon tank (2' x 15" x 15"), using sand as a substrate, with some peat under to keep the water acidic, half of it will be heavily planted, the other half will not be planted as heavily. There will be numerous caves in the tank.

The only other tank inhabitants will be loaches, the type is undecided i'm trying to decide now.

My question is, do you suggest anything else for this tank? or offer any sugestions on any other tank inhabitants.

I forgot to mention, i will have about 6-10 chocolate gouramis which i hope will breed.

Thanks!

You could have a small shoal of small peaceful fish that aren't to hyper active. Maybe Cardinals or Black Phantoms?

They are very cute fish.

Saw them @ Maidenhead, but already have 4 Gourami's.

Hope you have Good Luck with them
