Hi guys, I have a beautiful chocolate female, but her chocolate male boyfriend has severe swimbladder. He lays on his side unless it's feeding time, then after he eats he floating back again or sits on his plant. Not exactly spawning material ;)

Anyways, I have this great girl and I'd like to use her, but I don't know anything about choc genetics. Anyone have any ideas on what she would pair nicely with? I have almost every color so throw out some suggestions! :)

i dont know anything about gens but just thinking would a black male be ok?

I have a nice yellow DT, but he has a short spine...is that only a problem if I threw him with another DT or will I end up with lots of deformed spines?

its probably not genetic, just an accient when he was young or somthing. iv never heard of anything like that being genetic -_-

If you breed DT to DT you are likely to end up with spine deformities. I just don't know if that is carried on my the fish or not...he just has a short spine, but it doesn't bother him that I can see

No, you might end up with some DT's though. Most all DT's have really terrible spines. You should have seen some of my fry when they were clear and you could see their spines really well
