i have a lilly well pond that was full of nasty hair moss /algea

i added a little piece of chlorine tablets that i use for my pool and now the well is spotless

if i had fish i wouldnt have done it but right now its just a lilly pond

is what i have done ok

will it have negetive effects on my lilly ?

I think it will kill your plant if it's too much. Many tap waters have very low levels of chlorine/chloramine and even those levels are bad for some plants while others can handle the levels from tap water.

Chlorine kills nitrifying bacteria and will harm plants if used frequently or used in high concentrations. Concentrated chlorine is effectively bleech.
I would not do it again.

i realized that it might not have been a good idea to leave the chlorinated water in for too long so the day after i did a full water change and everything is still alive.
