i have found out that my spossed otto is a chinnese alge eater, i probley should of been more alert but i didnt, how i found out is he is very big now well not that big like 3-4" i can not keep him and i dont know if any store will take him for free. i sorry 2 say i may hav 2 kill him sorry little buddy but he will kill other fish, and i did ask for a otto and he was otto size when i got him he has grown a big since i got him, what should i do with him?

dont kill him thats cruel, some pets shop will take him off your hand, just ring up and ask. Killing a creature is dame right cruel.

Phone round every LFS and pet shop until you find one who'll take him. Emphasise that he's an algae eater - that should encourage them. I had the same situation once myself and it was a little tricky to find an LFS who'd take them, but I did in the end.

The CAE didn't ask to be mis-identified and I think it would be a terrible shame if he is killed before of it.

For future references, otos are striped and are schooling fish, so will be found in groups.

i know it is crule but getting my other fish is crule 2 i will ask around see if anyone will take him, i try and explain my situation 2 the place i bought him and i will give him 2 them

Don't tell him he's vicious and eating your fish! Tell them he's "incompatible with his tankmates" and what a nice fish he is (and how much it breaks your heart to give him back etc)

You feeding him enough algae tablest and catfish pellets??? Keep him well fed and he should be ok.
