Chinese Algae Eater

First of all, do CAE belong in the "oddball" group? Not sure where they go...

Anywho, do you need to feed cae algae wafers? I've got them in my turtle tank and my turt always eats the algae wafers so there's no point feeding it to them. There's little to no natural algae in my tank.

Right now I just feed flake food. I'm gonna get new life spectrum .5mm sinking pellet for the cae and balas I have in the tank. Good choice or..?

Mine loves cucumber and courgette, maybe try that? Stab it with a fork to weigh it down so it sinks to the bottom of the tank.

Okay I could try that but my turtle would still eat it first.

But my question is if CAE need algae wafers? Is it ok for me not to feed it to them?

Unsure as to whether or not they would NEED algae wafers, but i think they SHOULD be fed them.
