Chilli's First Salty Tank

What fish are you going to have. Nice little tank. :good:

Yay! I knew you couldn't resist. Besides, it's fun to have another journal. You do get a different set of opinions.

The cube tank is gorgeous. It is so sleek and pretty.

Couple of questions...

1. Where did you get those jugs to store the RO? Those are awesome!

2. Help me with my RO/DI, I am DIY-challenged and very sad... :-( It just keeps drifting to the bottomw of the Hardware section with no replies.

3. Where did you get the putty?

4. I'm going for Red Sea Coral pro too. Thanks for reminding me, gotta order my salt...

This is going to be a pretty awesome setup. Good deal on the salifert tests. Too rich for my blood.

I've given it a go just now! Hope it helps!

Nice stocking, but a few problems: Scooter Blenny (Do you mean Synchriopus ocellatus, if so they are Dragonets not Blennys so I would say no no. They are challenging to feed). Really it’s either a Dottyback or Gramma unless you want WW3. Cardinal and Midas are also good choices. API and Salifert kits are very similar.

You are awesome! Looks like I'll have to order the Jerry Cans from the UK, though. For now, I'll be ghetto fabulous with buckets and extra bottled water containers, but I'll certainly upgrade to these. I like the style and it is something I can lift.

I'll check the RO thread. :)

I can't believe they don't do these in the U.S. I wonder why? They are good. We've got about 5 25l ones, 1 15l one and 3 5l ones dotted about the house at the moment

Other fish to consider are: Dwarf Angelfish, Wrasse, Damselfish, Dartfish, Small Pufferfish, possibly Siganus unimaculatus and the smallish Angelfish like Apolemichthy xanthurus, Chaetodontoplus caeruleopunctatus, Chaetodontoplus melanosoma, Chaetodontoplus mesoleucus, Paracentropyge boylei, Paracentropyge multifasciata, Paracentropyge venustus (the Paracentro's are difficult to feed).

I will ask Tolak. The great Tolak knows all...

EDIT: Tolak found these for me... :D

Cool, glad you got some :good: They make life easier as you can just store the water until you need it :good:

This looks great Chilli!

Hahaha, somebody's very excited to have everything setup and ready for fish!

Will be watching this with great interest. :)

By the way, opted for lidded buckets at the hardware store. Half the price of the Jerry cans.
