Any facts about them? Oh, and do they eat plants? What about the rate of algae-eating?

I recently added 5 CRS to my Molly tank. They don't seem to eat THAT much algae, but maybe I understocked... (4ft). They don't seem to eat plants, but they do like grazing on them and eating the algae on the plants. The mollys did try taking a bite on them as soon as I put them in, but since then, haven't touched them. I recently found 2 of the shrimps molted, so they seem to be quite happy...
