Probably. I am guessing you only have cherry shrimp in the tank. If not it might be a differnt species of shrimp. See what colors they produce as they get older. Check with other members though. It could be something nasty. Good luck :good:

if you're able to take some pics it'd be easier to identify. Cherry shrimp babies look just like the adults, but a lot smaller, they're clear and spend most of their time hiding when they've just hatched. If what you've got looks like tiny white dots or dots with a tail and two antenna then it's probably little arthropods or copepods. from what i've read they're no danger and actually a sign that the aquarium is doin pretty well if they can survive. :)

I've uploaded a video of a newly hatched cherry to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIAbuYrwYYw it's sitting on a 0.28mm diameter fishing wire surrounded by riccia. The video camera is full zoom (10x i think) and i'm holding a magnifying glass over it as well. it was pretty tricky to spot.

Andy

edit: i meant to say the vid is 1080p, there's also a vid of a cyclops in a little glass on my channel. (tiny little thing, i originally thought was a baby shrimp)

i've added a photo too, the shrimp is on the 4th wire from the left at the front.
