I'm looking to add some fish to my tank that has my cherry shrimp in it. The fish I want to add require some salt, but the cherries have been living in water with no salt. So I'm wondering can I add salt to the tank with the cherries or would that bother them?

thanks,

What SG will the water be?

Send a PM to Nmonks. If I recall correctly, he has some dwarf shrimp in brackish water, but I don't know the SG.

I'm not sure on the SG, but its not going to be brackish. I was thinking of just adding 1 TBS for every 5gal like the box says.

Ah, your talking about that 'freshwater aquarium salt'?

Again, id recommend sending Nmonks a PM ;).

If that's what you adding, why so? What fish are you adding it for? Because I seriously doubt it will be worthwhile.
