Here is picture of my new (I've had him 5 months) betta, Cherry Pie. He is"posing" by his bubblenest. I have him in a Marineland Eclipse hexagon 5 gallon tank. It has a biowheel filter and artificial plants and fake rock arches. He loves to swim in place in the current made by the filter outake. I have the current "killed" a little with a shield made from a plastic pop bottle. That slows it down enough so that he doesn't tumble all over the place! He also chases the little bubbles that come out. He flares at them and swoops in on them! Sometimes he even gets a bubble in his mouth and then he pops it back out again. Funny fish.
He's a funny little guy. I got him from Petsmart out here in Denver, Colorado. He is strong too. A very strong swimmer. Thanks all for the encouraging comments. Does anyone know what kind of betta he is? thanks.
