Cherry Barbs

I just bought myself 5 young and fancy cherry barbs. I think they are the cutest little devils the barb family has to offer. Anyway, i was wondering how to differentiate between males and females? I have a safe house for baby fish that hasnt been used for a year now since i raised my guppies, and im interested in more cherry barbs for my 30 gallon tank.

Males are much redder esp when trying to mate. The females will have a tan coloration with darker stripes.

okay, cool thats what i thought. I specifically asked the man at the local fish store to give me more males than females b/c thats what they prefer. So since i have 2 females and 3 males the heat is on! May the temperature rise and the sexin' begin.
