We have an tank with 5 Rummynose, 3 Neon and 5 Glowlight Tetras, 3 Peppered Corys and 7 Harliquen Rosboras and we are thinking of getting some Cherry Barbs - it is a 90 litre hexagonal tank. Can anyone let us know if they will fit in and if so - how many is a good number? Cheers.

due to the lack of surface area v's volume of water I'd say you are at you limit of stock capacity. having said that 2 or 3 more neons would be ok as they need to be in large groups than you have.

Hi The-Wolf, do you think that a few Cherry Barbs would be ok then?

as they reach 1.5" as adults, IMHO no they would be too much for you tank.

Cherry Barbs are non shoaling fish best kept as a pair, or trio, 1 male 2 females. Two males together in a small tank may fight. I think a pair of cherry barbs would be okay, but would agree that more Neons would be better.
