Cherry Barbs

how big do cherry barbs grow in captivity, some websites say 2inch, some say 1.5 another 1 3/4, does anyone now how long they will normally grow? thanks!

Errrr....the best I can say is that I have an 8 year-old and two 4 year-old cherry barbs who are about 1.5 inches each. ^__^

with a basic 0.5" difference in size, expect them to be somewhere between 1.5"-2". 2" would be under the most ideal conditions (i.e. in the wild). most grow only around 1.5" in captivity/home aquaria and possibly get 1.75". there is some variation in sizes but since the range is close throughout all of the sites, expect somewhere in the middle or closer to the smaller end.
