Hi guys, I’ve had 5 cherry’s barbs for a while now, originally in a 30 litre Biorb but now in a 60 litre, planted community tank. Recently I’ve noticed them turn from what was originally a kind of pale orange colour colour to a dark red colour and also develop these large flaring fins on the bottom. Is this an age related thing or perhaps they are now thriving in a bigger planted tank. I assume these changes are positive but just curious as to why/what is happening. Have attached pictures of them when I first got them and then now.
I’ve also been told my tank may be overstocked but everyone has been happy for months, regular water changes and maintenance is done and all parameters are perfect It is a 60 litre, planted tank with 5 Cherry Barbs, 5 Cardinals & a pair of Dwarf Gouramis (1M/1F)
Thanks!
