I'm planing on buying some cherries soon, for my 20gal high planted tank. What would be best 15 young adults or 30 juvinals?
At the moment there are 5 1" boeseami rainbow fry, 3 cories, and a temporary betta. Would I be able to add the cherries without effecting the bioload to much?

15-30 cherry shrimp in a lightly stocked 20G would not add much to the bioload. Some people even consider shrimp neutral since they eat missed food which gets down into the gravel, which would normally break down and add to the bioload even more.

I hope you know that your Betta might consider them snacks so make sure you rehome the Betta.

I started with 25 small cherries in a 10G and now have many more due to mating. I have the tank moderately planted and do weekly 25% PWC's and almost always have less than 5ppm of nitrates. The plants are growing so the shrimp and snails are putting out some ammonia but it's nothing compared to fish.
