I wanna know wot people think about chemicals in their tank. I try to keep the use of treatments and meds to a minimum. Vote and give us a WHY?

i voted for the last option, i wont put chemicals into my tank unless it is the last resort, i dont use ammolock or any of that tripe, all that goes into my tank atm is a little liqud fetiliser for my plants, a bit of co2 also for plants and dechlorinator.

i havnt needed any meds since i first started, oh tell a lie i had brought a sick corie (without knowin) and had to use a fungal med...

I wasn't sure which option to choose but I only use dechlorinator, and root tabs for my plants. I used snail killing stuff once when i got desperate but i dont think i would again. I'd use appropriate medication if my fish had fungus, ich, or whatever.

I only use what is necessary to keep them happy and healthy.

I habitually treat a tank for most problems when I get the fish, to ensure their health later on. While it adds a little stress on the onslaught, I find it prevents a great deal of problems later down the road.

I am usually quite quick to use meds because I don't want to leave it too late, but I ake sure I diagnose and rarely have to treat my tanks because they have good water levels and fiters.

I try the more "natural" stuff first when my fish are sick (Melafix, aquarium salt, stress coat), and then if necessary I move on to actual meds. I chose the last option

I use meds as a last resort, the only chemical I use is the dechlorinator. I find most things can be cured with water changes, slight increase in temp and a little salt.

I will only use chems as a very last resort. Ok I lied, I use meth blue in all my hatching tanks but thats it...I swear.........I think............maybe
