Hi,
I was in my loft the other day and i found my x-mas lights (£1.99) (blue green & red) and they can do allsorts of pattern lighting effects (eg. flash, normal, chase)
so i got some masking tape and took my tanks lid off and taped them from one end to the other end of my tank lid, then ran the wire out the back and plug them in. lol it was just something to do but they really really look good at night becuase i keep them on chase effect which lights up the tank in sections (and they are not that bright)

lol i even get my guppy following the light as it moves along the tank

PS. BETTER IF THEY ARE OUTDOOR LIGHTS

aHH cOol. U know, i tried using a flash light and it worked really NIce. It's just you can't really keep it on 24 hours. the batterey would run out maybe by the 8th hour. But the affects it does is pretty amazing. Especially when your in dark room. I flashed it down and it lookes like thoughs spot lights that are flashing through the smoke. It's very cool. try it out

thanks glad some ppl beive me wen i say it looks good lol :p

I think I may experiment with that, just to see what the effects are like.
Good idea :)
