Fish Fanatic
I bought a tank last week second hand, came with the filter heater etc.
I set it up correctly and added filter start to get the cycle going.
Anyway, how do i check that my filter is working correctly? It's a interpet PF4 internal filter. It dindnt come with an instruction booklet but the box says that the water inlet is at the bottom (which makes sense) but when i lift the top of the filter out of the water, the water flow stops.
I took the filter apart but there doesnt seem to be anything wrong.
Another thing is that when i took it apart, there is all yellow gunk stuck to the inside of the filter. Is this related to the cloudy water ( bacteria bloom) i am experiencing.
help
Cheers,
Dan
