checkerd rainbows

hey

i recently got a suprise when i found some new fish in my tank from some cousins and 2 of them are checkerd rainbows

theyre in my 20 gal atm
can anyone give me advice on them?

There is not much on the Melanotaenia splendida inornata but this may help you checkered rainbowfish

well the pciture of it in the link you gave me makes it look all cute and innocent but this is what mine looks like

The scientific name of the site The-Wolf gave is correct.. maybe the pic is of a juvenile?

Still looks cute and innocent to me! The rainbows as a group are a pretty well behaved bunch. "Checkered Rainbows" are very varied. They show a lot of location variation. Nice fish.
