Cheap under gravle filer

Welcome to read about how to make a cheap undergravle filter

I want my a under gravle filter so i looked around my house to see what i could use. Then i found a ice cream lid i did think about this then i decided to do it.

but i only had 1 ice cream lid so i went around my village and aks people if thay had empty tubs of ice cream in the end i got 5 lids.

So i went home empyted my tank half way.

then i got the 5 lids got a sharp knife and slit lines in the tops of the lid's to let the muck fall trought and sit under.

then i put them in put the gravle back in then the objects and i hope it is working now.

So there you go thats a cheap undergravle filter.

how are you sucking the water through it??

sounds like you've missed this bit...

Undergravel filters work but sucking the water down throught the gravel to trap poo and bits in the gravel... the water then returns to the tank via a power head or lift tube (air powered).

Undergravel filters are kinda outdated
I hope that the ppl you got the ice cream lids from didnt wash them out w/ soap ro something.
