Hi,

Well I sold the fish from the tank today to VonBomb, and so was able to clear it out and set it up for the snakehead.

here is the setup:

Now I just have to wait for the fish now B)

I've read that they only grow to about 12-16cm, so how would they get along as a pair?

I would definitely recommend some floating plants for a snakehead tank.

Will be great to see photos!

hi
we have 4 in stock at work and they don't seem to like eachother, all but one has nipped fins.
I really think that in your tank one is going to be the limit

The only way to keep more than one snakehead is to give a LOT of room, and even them if two pair off you can expect a blood bath. Snakeheads have a very well earned reputation of being nasty as hell when they want. We had 2 C. bleheri in a 6x2x2 and it still ended with one disappearing. You may get lucky with a large enough tank (touch wood, our C. gachua have not been too bad, yet...)

ok thanks for all the info, I'll stick to just the one then.

;)

oh yeah is there anything I could use instead of floating plants? something synthetic?

:-(

It's not fair, gonna have to wait even longer now for my fishy...

I rang the not-so-lfs yesterday to check up on my order, but they hadn't come in, as their dealer couldn't get any last week. Hopefully they will be in this week, around wednesday afternoon, then I can pick 'em up on thursday, yay!! :fun:
