Changing Lights

the tank i want has not got T5 tubes in it can i change them.Below are the specs of the current tubes
2x 36" 30W
1x 30" 25W

Sounds like T-12 lamps to me. Unfortunately you can't just put T5 lamps in T12 sockets. First of all, they wont fit, but second of all, you have to have the correct ballast to light the bulbs. So when upgrading, you have to upgrade lamp, socket, and ballast (often called a retrofit kit)
