Changing Gravel

I'm looking to change the gravel in my 50gallon tank to sand
The tank has about 20 odd fish in it at present and I dont want to remove them while doing so, as some of them are quite large and dont like being moved into buckets and dont fit in bags
What would be the easiest way ro remove the old gravel, Its that fine black gravel stuff BTW

Get a length of larger diameter hose- over and inch. The wide tube will syphon out gravel fast with minimal distrubance to anything else.

i would reconsider

sand is the bain of my life at the mo. I changed from gravel to sand. Its harder to clean, shows up dirt more and you fish lose thier colour cos of the light flooring.

You would be better with changin types of gravel.
