Changing furniture!

I am changing the furniture that my fish tank is on.
How can i move the tank (60L) without damaging it. Should i empty the water out first into a basin?

I moved my 68 litre the other day with the fish in it (hillstream loaches). I took out as much water as I could, leving the loaches enough and me and my b/f moved it and the unit at the same time. I am sure you would do it but take it off the unit.

I'd put the fish in a bucket of tank water and try and make sure you keep as much old water as possible. The reason I didn't take the fish out is because they stick to the glass etc in the tank and wouldn't be swished around.
