Changing From T8 To T5 (Endcaps)

I am currently in the process of repairing a second hand juwel light fitting from a Juwel Vision 180. Originally designed for T8's, I want to change it to T5's.

I know the end caps for t5 and t8 have different internal diameters but what i want to know is the thread size and the outside diameter of the t5 endcaps.
In other words will the t5 endcaps fit on the existing light fixture.

possibly. Main issue is your ballast is designed for a specific wattage of T8. Its possible you may not be able to light the T5 bulbs, or you may over power them reducing their life span.

The question is about the end caps not the ballast. A ballast for t5's will be chosen as required.
