Changing Filters

Changing from Stingray 15 to Aquaball 60.Do i adapt the sponge from the stingray to fit in the eheim to keep up the bacteria.I cannot simply change the filters or the tank would start cycling from scratch again.Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Either run both filters on the tank for 6 weeks or move all old media into the new filter.

If you can i would run both for maybe 4-6 weeks and then remove the old one.

Yep you could do,
But if you have the space in the tank?
I would run both filters for a month or at least a few weeks,
Then try to get as much of the old media from the stingray into the eheim as possible and then slowly swap from the old stuff, to any of the new eheim media that didn't fit because of the extra stingray media.

Good call on getting the aquaball, i have been very tempted to get one for myself but i just don't need one at the moment
