Changing Decor In Tank

i want to change the stones & decor in my gold fish tank, i was going to take out all the water out put the gold fish in the water change the stones & decor than put the old water & fish back in, is this ok 2 do, also how do i get rid of some bad green algae of some of the stones.

yes that would be fine snaggle, best to keep the water you have if its good quality and the fish are happy in it

if you put your stones in a tupperwear tub with a sealable lid filled about 1/2 full and the roll the tub over and over a few times, like a tumbler that will clean up you stones a treat just drain away the nasty water afterwards dont put it in your tank

don't keep all the water, keep around half so you get a water change done at the same time

how big is the tank?

its not a big one i think its bout 9 usgallon

Aye, you'll be needing a bigger tank then. Maybe, since you're basically tearing down everything and re-doing it, this would be a good time to upgrade to something larger The minimum for fancies is 20g for the first fish and 10g more for each additional fish. The minimum for commons is... um... might want to look into a pond.
