I have been feeding my Betta round pellets since I bought him two weeks ago. Yesterday I found some Tetra Bettamin which is supposed to be better so I bought a pack. Problem is Max wont eat it.

Should I just continue with the round pellets? Or is there some way to migrate him from one food type to another.

TIA.

I don't know they gave it to me when I got the Betta. Green and red pellets. No name on the container. Came a zip bag.

Try mixing the pellets with the new food at feeding time. Slowly feed fewer pellets and more of the new food, and he should slowly start eating the new food.

You might want to continue feeding the pellets becuase fish should have some variety in their diet.

Well actually, that is what I did. Put in less pellets and added some of the new flakes. He only ate the pellets. Will continue to serve him a mix varaiety and see what happens.

Bettas often don't eat flakes. Only a few of mine do: the ones that have been fed flakes from an early age.

You will probably want to have some extra protein in their diet, such as frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp (Hikari is a good brand) in addition to the pellets or flakes.
