Changed to Sand

I change My tank substrate to sand today.
I used play sand.
I cleaned it as best i could but when i added it to the tank the water went cloudy.
Is it going to clear up or will i have to change the water?

Wil some good strong filtration it sould clear up within a day or two. But for some reason, for some people it seems to take anything up to two weeks.
