Change Water Hardness

Hello,
I would like to increase my water hardness. My pH is only 6 and I would like it to be seven. My KH is 5, my GH is 10. I have Lava rock and Mopani Roots as decoration and my tank is well planted. My tap water comes very soft, which is good for kettles and washing machines, but not for my tank. Any suggestions?

Is there any reason why you need to up the ph?

I would like to keep rainbows. I know they are okay with the pH, but i am not sure with the hardness....

KH 5 and GH 10 is fine for rainbows, and by definition is actually "slightly hard".

A pH of 6 and KH of 5 suggests that one or both test results may be off. Are you injecting CO2? What test kits are you using?

Hi George,
yes I am using CO2, since my tank is a planted one. I am using the tests fron JBL.
