Chaeto Harvesting

I have read to keep chaeto adsorbing nitrates you need to regulalry harvest some of the chaeto.

How much and how do I do this??

All depends on how fast it grows really... I wait for mine to pretty much fill the fuge then half it, which is usually around 2 weeks.

Sounds sensible, I was wondering if I needed to do it before my holiday, it has not doubled in size or is it filling the fuge, I will therefore leave it till I get back.

Unless there is any other opinion.??

I personally would just leave it until its taking up too much space then half it (unless bits of it start dieing off then remove them asap).
