Years ago, before we had red tailed and red finned/rainbow sharks, there was the simple black shark, Morulius chrysophekadion. It became unpopular partly when it's more colourful cousins entered the hobby, but mostly because it grows huge, (like ½m+/2'+), and gets very aggressive.

Could it be that you are talking about?

No I don't think so. The black shark has black fins. This fish has clear slightly blue fins.

Ive seen those before, they look like rainbow sharks, but with clear/white fins?

yes this one was with rainbow sharks so I assume it was a breed of rainbow shark

Thats what I would assume as well, as the ones Ive seen have all the fins cklearish white like the rainbow sharks.

I finally found a little info on them. They are a breed of rainbow like the albino. But that's all I could find,
