Cetopsis Coecutiens Aka Blue Shark Catfish

They do look cool what I read on that side was the are a rare import and like to eat fish. When they grow up they come out at night and take chunks out of large catfish in rivers. So I'm thinks not a good fish for a community. They also get to be a foot long.

I'm almost tempted to get it just because it is so rare but I'm not going to. The fish has been there for a food 2 weeks now.

it would make a cool addition to a tank though.
I wouldn't want it to take chunks out of my big arrowana and giant gold gourami they are my babies lol.

take a look at them in members tanks, here is my new tank (mixmaster jay) if you want.

I still want 1 lol

I know they are super neat but risky to keep with other fish maybe if it is well fed you could get away with it. They also need lots of water movment.

Your fish look very pretty. Very healthy and happy looking. Maybe you could set up a tank just for the blue shark that could be cool.

There was a post recently over on PlanetCatfish about this fish - will give you a better idea on their feeding habits.
