Ceramic Diffuser

i got my ceramic diffuser today,could some one please tell me if i have it in the correct place in the take.
as always any help much appreciated

Is your filter outlet adjustable? If it is, can you change it so that it's not pointing at the surface? Reason being is that if you can point it elsewhere, the CO2 mist will be pushed back down into the water and will therefore remain in the water for longer.

My diffuser sits under the spray bar and I get a nice up and over effect whereby the bubbles go up, reach the flow from the spraybar and get pushed back down into the water before dissipating the usual way.

I read something about this once, somewhere or other. The logical place according to a number of people is to have them at the bottom of the tank. That way the bubbles have a further distance to go before breaking to surface and therefore diffusing a higher amount of the CO2. But.. i did read (i think) somewhere that Amano chappy who is somewhat of a pro used to put his half way up the tank. The reason behind this I have no Idea.!

Also, it looks in the picture that you have it below the filter output.. Some people also argue the the effect of blowing the co2 around the tank and attaching it to the leaves is a positive thing.

Looks about right people tend to have them close to the filter outlet so the bubbles get blown around the tank which helps with diffusion of the co2 into the water. I have mine tucked away behind some plants. Yes its not as effective as the bubbles go straight up and it probably costs me a bit of extra co2 but I'm happy to pay if it means not seeing it. It makes checking to see if it still works tricky though
