I was curious if any one here knew any current information regarding the current conditions of the CPD's (not typing that long name over and over again). I am interested in acquiring some for breeding purposes but am unable to find any near me in New York. If any one has any info I would appreciate it.

don't know about breeders in new york specifically, but aquabid.com often has these guys (generally as galaxy rasboras) up for auction and since you're in the states you can have them mailed to you for generally not much. also try finding an aquarium society near you. I bought 6 of them at the greater pittsburgh aquarium society's auction for dirt cheap. 20 bucks for six is less than you're likely to see them anywhere else.

not completely sure on their current conditions in the wild, but they are readily spawned in captivity and should soon be easy enough to find.
