Greetings all,
I am relatively new to fish. I always wanted a Betta but never took the leap. Being terminally snowed in this winter I was dying for something to spark my interest. I walked into a local pet store for some cat toys and walked out with a small, dark blue, crowntail (on sale for $3 and full of spark) male. The cats had to live with milk rings and pieces of string. He is one tough guy. He has nearly doubled in size and though he lost some finnage at one point, thay have regrown beautifully (though curled due to my hard water I think).
Just the other day I found 2 females that jumped off the shelf at me. One has stunning irridescent color with decent crowntail fins. The Other has very large fins (uneducated opinion) and is a very dark blue like my male...also a crowntail. They were both on sale at another local pet store. So, with two more mystery snails and two more tanks I am up to 3 small tanks.
I enjoy tanks with live plants, I am an avid gardener and am always looking for another spot to plant something.
