Caught By A Heron, Dropped Down A Chimney....

Link doesn't work for me. I tried clicking it and copying and pasting. I got this "The requested URL /news/topstories/tm...-name_page.html was not found on this server." message.

Never mind. I was having computer problems I guess. Sounds like a lucky fish. We had a blue heron and an owl that were pick our goldfish pond clean. We finally had to cover the ponds (my dad's pond too) with mesh to keep them out.

I can imagine this girl working her way into a "goldfish are hardy!" conversation or two.

Wow that must be some lucky escape. I guess u shud never give up on fish, especially aftetr what i just read.

The retired mine worker placed the fish in warm water with slices of bread and it has recovered.

What? did he make it a sandwich to overcome the shock??

I think it's lovely that he actually did his best to rescue it. I bet alot of ppl wouldn't. Obviously the fish was one tough cookie surviving warm bath water soaked in bread.
Hugs,
P.

That's awesome.
I guess, what I wonder, is what did the guy do when the fish came? Did he grab some water and toss it in? I assume so. But the article doesn't say.

Since he was having fish and chips, he could have just popped Wanda into his mouth ;)

what about the goldie that survived a car crash it was saved from the mototrway and the paramedics put it in a cardboard dish with water
