Catfish

Hi

i am new to tropical fish and have just purchased a setup which included two fish! One of the fish is a 6 inch long catfish. The only problem is i have had it 2 days and he hasn't moved. It is sat veritically with head down on a log and appears to be alive because it twitches (not very often) and it's eye keeps moving. Is this normal. I was told by a guy at my local aquatic centre that he has seen it before but it seems strange to me! any advice will be most appreciated!

Sounds like a pleco, dont worry though at night there more active, but as they get older there less active, at the moment mine hasnt moved from the back glass for 3 days.

I have quite a few plecos that I never even see except when I clean the tank. My peppermint pleco lives in a little castle and I used to worry about him all the time because he NEVER moves but he has been with me 2 years now and still alive so I guess he is doing just fine.
