hi i had 1 pictus catfish and my dad had 4 his seemd happyer if u get my jist i was wondering are pictus catfish a comunity fish

Pictus aren't always a community fish as they are carnivores and when larger they are aggressive however they will be nice with larger fish

It is often stated that pictus are at least gregarous, if not shoaling.

I have witnessed nothing but bickering with my group of 5, but others on the forum have stated theirs shoal at night when looking for food.

there are different opinions about this but i think they enjoy bickering amoungst themselves.ime one kept on its own becomes innactive

They do prefer to be kept in groups, but keep in mind that they can get a little large.
