Hi:) I have 2 pictus catfish and a featherfin synodontis in my 75 gallon tank. The pictus used to stay to one side and the featherfin to the other but now their all on one side. When the pictus were young they got along great but now one always kicks the other out of the clay pot den, so then it's just out in the middle of the tank then the featherfin pushes him around. It's not like full on fighting but I feel bad. Should I just let them figure it out or re home? There are tons of hiding spots and other pots too why do they all have to fight over one?

The featherfin will go in the pot and kick out the other pictus too, then go back to his spot up on the wood then come back and push the other one around. The featherfin is really social towards me and I really like him but he's a bully: /

Pictus should be kept as either a single fish or in a school, of at least 5. As for your Synodontis, he's king of the tank, so all territory is his. It's up to you as to what to do. If the pictus don't look stressed, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Okay! Thanks for replying so quick:) I think their okay, their colors are pretty bright. I guess I'll keep an eye out and if it gets worse then I will re home the pictus. I thought 2 was better than one when I bought them:(

I thought about it but I'm towards the end of my stocking. I have 7 corys and a rope fish already as bottom dwellers, oh and 7 Kuhli loaches:/
