Catching Baby Pistol Shrimp

Hi i got new live rock in about 20 pounds and there were probably 8 baby pistol shrimp in them about an inch long each. Do you guys have any idea how i could catch them or trap them? I need to do it without taking the rock out of the tank. Is there anything that might eat them i could buy?

A hawkfish would eat them, but it would also eat any other shrimp you have. To trap them, you could lean a clean glass cup against the rock, and put some food in it. pretty much anything will go into it, and as long as you have it at a pretty steep angle, they probably won't be able to climb out.

get a small plastic bottle, like a coke bottle, and half bury it so just a small opening is visible at the top.
put some dead shrimp or other food in there and leave it over night.
pistol shrimps sometimes take food back to their burrow/house but in my experience they usually stay in the bottle.

in the nmorning take the bottle out and you should see them in there.
plus, like was said above youll no doubt end up with all sorts in there like bristleworms etc.
