catchin BNs

hi all

somhow i need to catch my BNs so that i can put sand in there tank at the mo the tank has bair bottom but ive bought some sand now an it has been cleaned and is ready to go in but now i need to catch the BNs

anyone hav any ideas?

I use a net to catch mine but be careful as they can get caught up in them.

Plecs get hung in nets real easy, spiny fish. Take a clean glass jar, put in a piece of zuccini or other tasty veggie, & wait. When the plec goes in to chow, take him out, jar & all.

We use a similar techique to Tolak's, but we use a tupperware (rubbermaid) container instead of a jar.

(I don't like to put glass in our tanks, just in case)

to catch mine i put a jar in and kind of chased her in with the net

ive already don it now an they are bac in there nice tank

i kinda chased them into the bag with the net it worked anyway

I have a net which i use specifically for catching plecs. It has very tight holes and feels almost plastic rather than cotton or nylon like most nets. My plecs never seem to get caught in this one. Even my bristlenose..
