I swear, Carly is going to be the death of me. Tonight, I am sitting here in the office and I hear a loud commotion in the yard, then Kaiser comes and barks at the window so I head out, no Carly. Put my shoes on and go out and find her...she has a huge gash on her back leg, cut down to the bone. So I met my vet at the clinic (it was 8 PM). He had to put her under to repair it, so she'll be staying the night. I know she'll be fine, but I worry.

She thought she was so tough at the vet too, I had to hold her by the cheeks for him to even get a look at it because she wanted to bite him so bad after his intial touch of the wound. Anyway, after I let go of her face, he pointed at the leg while he was talking and she tried to bite him again, when I went to grab her face I caught the teeth. Not a good time. Poor girl, she's already spazzed out from her last adventure and now this. She's not having a good month...

aww :-( poor girl :( it seems like sshe likes bieng wild or someone tryin to steal her again :/, anyway, she was just mad, and in an extremly moment of pain, so i guess she didnt mean all those "im gonna eat ya if you touch me again" (bites :p) , she'll be fine :) i have my fingers crossed :D she is a tough girl  she will do just perfect :)

by the way...where did you find her?

Sorry Dolores! Not your fault, it's Carly's! If the darn thing would stay put, I wouldn't have to find her all the time! :/

I heard the whole thing happen, so she was just outside the yard when I found her.

She's home form the vet now. Her leg is bandaged and she'll get the stiches out in 10 days. She's not limping or anything, but I'm making her stay in her crate or on a leash for awhile. Hopefully this will be the end of the Craly crises. :p

I don't mean to sound harsh but it sounds as if Carly needs more perminant restraints. mabye a leashed run in the yard or an invisable electronic fence?

Don't worry, the problem has been resolved. My husband put in a new fence this morning.

Good :D How High? My dog (when she was young) was 2.5 feet tall and could jump a 3-4 foot fence :S

It was six feet and we had four big dogs before Carly that all stayed put, so this was unexpected. It is now nine feet high, so if she gets out now, I'm calling Ripley's Believe it or Not. :p
