Carinotetraodon Travancoricus, Colomesus Asellus

After having my two Colomesus asellus for a few months I have now decided that I'd like a average sized species tank for Carinotetraodon travancoricus
:good:

oh yeah, all about puffers?
I have had a little read yeah, but I'll read it carefully when buying 'em.

it's the first time I've had Amazon puffers and I only have two and they seem to get along fine, they're both chubby looking but one of the two is bigger.
They're also greedy when feeding, so I have to be careful of how much food I feed

Marquatics in Sherwood, do you know it?
Apparently, there's a decent place in Trowell?
where do you go for your fish stuff?

The one in Trowell isn't so good, it's mostly marines. Wharf is probably the best place for normal and oddballs, then there's natural World in Syston which is leicester which I go to for brackish stuff, and there is World of Water and The Aquatics center near woodborough which are both good.

All of those have had puffers in at some point, some with better prices than others!

the Dwarf puffer thread is pretty essential, as is the other one. Keeping puffers is quite easy once you know about water quality and once you get some frozen food in.

I've only seen photos of the place in Trowell and now you've sed alot of Marine stock I remember the pictures only having marines :)
Marquatics is a good place :good:

not to sound big headed, but I have only had my tank for a few months (my first tank ever!) and the first fish I got were my puffers and they've thrived. However, I do know a fair bit about keeping fish cus my gf's had her tank for over a year now.
They're big now, my SAP's grown quite quickly. Think I might clip their teeth at xmas what a present that'll be for them haha

The second tank i ever kept was an SAP tank, before that it was shelldwellers (maybe the easiest fish ever to keep?).

Clipping teeth on puffers is really easy, not quite the big deal it's made out to be.

apparently Shelldwellers can be kept in virtually tap water due to their need for high ph and hardy water. Malawis and tank's are the same with ph, but you'd still have to cycle right?

My puffers are amazing, my favourite fish I have. I recently bought a dragon goby but my other fish get rather skittish around him so I'm giving him to my girlfriend instead :good:

Do you know which kind of dragon goby it is? Some are brackish inhabitants.

I asked this on the oddball section cus I don't want to keep him if he's brackish. There's two different types of apparently, but the advise that I got is that even though he can be kept in freshwater, it's best kept in brackish, so I will donate him to my girlfriend :) my types perfect at the moment, but I don't want to mistreat him by keeping him :good:
