hi, i got to caribbean nems at the weekend, their was two on a bit of rock,1 either side.put it in my tank 1 of them was gacing the front and the other the back of the tank.
now the one that was facing the front has slid between the rocks and gone behind everything in the darkness the same as the other one.
i did do some research on the net and it said that they like alot of light,i have got 2 blue moon t5s,2 blue anytic and 2 white t5s, all my other nems are alright with this lighting.
is this normal till they settle down in the tank?

Possibly... if they just slid between the cracks they could just be hiding for a while. Keep feeding if you can reach them, but keep an eye out for signs of death/decay.

let them be, probably scared, or you didnt acclimate the lights or whatever, dont try to move them yourself

will they ever come out?
or will they die due to lack of light?

i dont know if there is a way of telling through the naked eye, if they are healthy, then when they need light, they will find a spot that gives them more light, if they are healthy, and they have enough light, they will stay put. Now if they are unhealthy, it is a different matter because they might be trying to come out but cant...
