Ive been debating which one of these fish to go with, I was hopeing to add a nice sized school to my 77 Gal tank with my 4 silver dollars and perhaps 4 angels (is this still a bad idea if they are introduced as babies around the same time?) and a small group of bosemani rainbows (is this also a bad idea?) and a small group of glass cats (are they to delicate?), but I hear such great things about both tetra and just cant decide! If you were me what would you go with or what do you just straight up prefear and why? Another thing... would this setup even work? As always I await your knowledgeable opinions and criticism, thanks in advance! So what would your pick be friends? What would you ditch or add in this setup or would you scrap it all together?

If you decide to go with this setup, than you cannot get either tetra. I know the glass cats are delicate from reference, but I have never had expierence with them. If you would like, you could keep about 10 of each with about three more schools of smaller tetras if you do not get the other fish.

Why is it that they wouldent work? I can see how the angels and rainbows could cause a problame but I have kept these types with silver dollars in the past and it has gone well. What about adding platy or sword tails?

Cardinals and rummy's both grow to a size where I would doubt angels would eat them - particularly given your plans to introduce the angels when small. I think either would be OK.
However, am not sure about silver dollars: I don't know much about them, so please fell free to correct me if I'm wrong, but are they not better in bigger groups - say 6 rather than 4? And would they not be big, active, and greedy enough to take the smaller cardinals /rummies?

As we are all taking 'stabs in the dark' i'm going to join in! I think the silver dollars are vegetarians so would not be interested in killing/eating the rummys or cardinals....

You are correct, they are vegitarian. And also you make a very good point about 4 being a bit few for sd's the only problame is I dont know if I have enough space for more... they get big, the reason I added them into the setup is because I already have 4 fully grown dollars ive had for years... I guess that was my newbie mistake!
