I've just completed my weekly water change, and this is something I noticed after doing a water change previously. My Cardinal Tetra who usually remain towards the front of the tank, decided to go to the back and charge through my bubble curtain and outlet pipe current (both located in the same place), which buffered them about pretty heavily. However they continued to do this for about 20 minutes, going back and forth before, getting bored?
I caught a little bit of this on camera this time, and wondered if anyone had seen this sort of behaviour before. I found it quite funny, and they seemed to enjoy it, turning back and charging through it again. There's no particular reason for them to take this route, there's plenty of room around it to go anywhere they want.
Excuse the poor quality, just grabbed my phone for it.

My only guess is something might be irritating his gills. Did you do anything different on this water change? What are you using, tap? R/O? Both? Do you think you have forgotten to dose dechlorinator?
So many factors, yet, he could just be curious about the bubbles.
Just keep a close eye on him for now, try to look at his gills and see they appear reddened or look irritated.

Looks as if they're enjoying waterchange / waterflow.

Nothing different with this water change, I check the temperature with a thermometer to make sure it's roughly the same as the tank, I add Seachem Prime as soon as the water starts going in. They just seem to be enjoying themselves, but I've never witnessed it outside of a water change. They're back to normal now, can't see anything wrong with them physically.
I wondered if in their natural habitat whether they encounter fast flowing water from time to time, after a heavy rainfall or something. In any case, was fun watching them do it for 20 minutes, the crazy little critters lol.
